Base Coat is like the glue between your nail and the polish. It creates a smooth, grippy surface so the colour adheres properly instead of sliding around and lifting at the edges. It also protects your natural nail from staining (especially with darker shades).
Top Coat is the sexy bodyguard. It seals everything in, adds shine, and creates a hard protective layer that laughs in the face of dishes, typing, and general life chaos.. Especially the cheeky things we don’t talk about. Without it, your polish is basically naked and exposed to the world.

How to Do It Properly (The B!tch Please Way)
Start with clean, dry nails (no oils or lotions yet).
Apply a thin layer of B!tch Please Base Coat. One even coat is enough — don’t glob it on.
Let it dry for 2 to 3 minutes.
Apply your colour in thin coats (two is usually perfect).
Finish with a solid layer of B!tch Please Top Coat. This is non-negotiable if you want longevity.
Let everything cure fully. We recommend waiting at least 10 to 15 minutes before doing anything crazy with your hands.
Pro tip: Re-apply a thin layer of top coat every 2–3 days and your mani will look fresh for much longer.
